With a week to go before the first in-person fan event for EverQuest in almost a decade, a host and emcee for Fippy Fest has been announced.

Fading, the host of the YouTube series “The EverQuest Show” has been chosen to host the event.

Considering himself a super fan of EverQuest and EverQuest II, Fading describes himself as the world’s biggest EQ fan.

“I’ve been playing EQ and EQ2 for most of my adult life and I’m excited and humbled to assist with this event, and be surrounded by the community that makes these games so great.”

Fading is no stranger to live events. In his professional career, he’s a veteran of the broadcast industry, working in live, local television in Chicago, Indianapolis and the Carolinas.

The EverQuest Show is a product of the fandom for EQ and his television experience.

Fippy Fest is a celebration of 25 years of EverQuest live service, nearly 20 years of EverQuest II, and the fans and community of the games.

The mostly virtual convention will be held Friday June 14 to Saturday June 15 in San Diego.

While the event is mostly virtual, with a heavily streamed component, there will be an in-person aspect to the event. In-person participants will have a personal interaction with the devs, swag bags full of EQ goodies, a tour of the Darkpaw Games studios and more.

The EQ super fans that are attending in-person will also have a front row seat to the live events and panels being streamed.
