EverQuest II’s 20th expansion

Ballads of Zimara is the name given to the incredible 20th expansion for EverQuest II.

The latest expansion will release later this year, likely in December. A level increase to 130 is also announced and pre=orders are already available.

Calamitous impacts upon Norrath were but an overture to the songs of strife and oppression ringing out from the Plane of Sky. Norrathians, venture to the firmament lands in hopes of wresting lasting peace from a despotic foe, the Djinn Sovereign, and his growing army of metallic djinn!

Ballads of Zimara

A least 4 new areas have been announced:

  • SPLENDOR SKY AERIE
    • Return to the Overrealm, the ancestral lands of the hooluk and their wonderous, magically-formed temple and home, Sanctuary. Their war with the djinn has taken its toll, destroying parts of their sacred lands. Here, your journey begins.
  • ZIMARA BREADTH
    • The main front of the Djinn Sovereign’s assault, this realm in the Plane of Sky sees few outsiders, and even fewer survivors. Among them, the Aurai, who aggressively defend against the metallic poisons seeping into their ritual lands.
  • AETHER WROUGHTLANDS
    • An unknown force continues to mold precious metals and gemstones into a kaleidoscopic maelstrom of colors and shapes where the maedjinn, or metallic djinn, call home. Both new and newly discovered, this realm holds vast fortunes, guarded by the Sovereign’s most vehement forces.
  • VAASHKAANI
    • The opulent fortress of the djinn and gateway to the newly formed Aether Wroughtlands, Vaashkaani’s influence spreads like a disease across the lands, stripping precious resources and empowering the Sovereign, never ceasing until it overtakes the mortal realms.

Until the new expansion launch, Renewal of Ro, the 19th expansion for EverQuest II remains on sale.

The Beta for the next expansion begins today! The announcement can be found here.

Extra Life 2023

Additionally, the Extra Life fundraiser continues through November. The Extra Life charity raises money for children’s hospitals throughout the country. Daybreak participates for Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California.
