The list and schedule of panels at PAX East has been released, and the EverQuest team will be present!

PAX East is a video game and pop culture convention held in Boston annually.

The panel, labeled as “Behind The Scenes : 28 Years of EverQuest Development” is part of EverQuest’s Year of Darkpaw celebration of milestone anniversaries for EQ and EQ2.

While EQ is celebrating 25 years since launch on March 16, 1999, the game has been in development since 1996 and continues development today with 30 published expansions and another announced for the end of 2024.

According to the PAX East schedule website :

Launched in 1999, we’re celebrating EverQuest®’s 25th anniversary this year! Join us as we celebrate the Year of Darkpaw and share stories from behind the scenes of the past 28 years of working on EverQuest®. It’s definitely hardcore to try to cover 28 years in a single panel, so instead we’ll serve up a potpourri of some of the lesser and well-known stories of what it was like in the beginning, at launch, thirty expansions, and what we’re working on now.

PAX East Panel Schedule

The hour long panel will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:30 pm.

And more real life events are expected to be announced over the coming weeks, including another potential event during the PAX East convention. The details of that event have not yet been released.

The EverQuest Show has just wrapped up a media tour from Darkpaw Games in San Diego, and while official information is not available, we can confirm there are additional plans for different event attendance throughout the year.

The additional real-life event opportunities are expected to be diverse in scope, type and geography.

From that trip to Daybreak and Darkpaw studios, the EverQuest Show gathered valuable developer interviews, including with the head of Darkpaw Games, Jenn Chan.
