Frostfell falls upon Norrath once more and that means the festivities have commenced! The main event will run until January 7th, 2025 at 11pm PST and there is plenty to do!

The first stage of the main Frostfell tasks will run until 11pm PST on December 15th.

So if you haven’t done it before or maybe you’re just filling out those achievements on another character, time’s ticking!

Searching for Clues

Let’s get this first stage knocked out together and help Santug! The quickest way to get started is to seek out a Frost Goblin (Frostfell Helper) in The Plane of Knowledge by the Main Bank.

He will tell you something horrible has happened to Santug Claugg and tasks you with finding clues. He mentions Santug has been spotted in Everfrost, Butcherblock, and the Commonlands but I found Everfrost to be the best.

Use the book to Halas and you should start seeing little grimps flying around the area. They are quite low level and the recommended level for this task is 5.

Kill several of these until you get all 5 Clues. There will be some duplicates and no-drops but it shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes to get all of them.

Once you have all 5, return to a Frostfell Goblin and hand over all of these to them. Upon completion he gives you some Grimp Scales, a single use Imp illusion. Hail them again and they will tell you about the nasty Grinnuch, leading into the second task of Stage 1.

Saving Santug

Head back to Everfrost via the book to Halas and start heading towards the ruins in the northern most part of the map, between the fork in the river.

Once there you will see The Grinnuch and his pet Xam, surrounded by some grimps. He won’t attack and you can talk to him but what we need to look out for is a hiding Frostfell goblin, located nearby.

Hail them and they will want you to find a gift to give to the mean old Grinnuch and hopefully free Santug from his spell! But what gift would The Grinnuch even want?

Any mob in Everfrost will drop gifts. What we want to find is an Ornate Red Sled but the only way to get it is by giving these gifts to the hiding goblin. Easiest thing to do is just head a little ways down the river and kill several mobs until you have 4-5 gifts. Turn these all in until you get a sled (might get more than one).

Once you have one, speak to The Grinnuch and then give him the sled. This gift will change his attitude and he will release Santug from the spell! You will also be given Santug’s Stocking which isn’t much right now but we’ll be heading back to PoK to finish up this stage!

Final Steps

Seek out the Frostfell Goblin again and give them the stat-less stocking which they will upgrade into a 2-slot 20% weight reduction bag. This stocking will continue to be upgraded through the rest of the stages until eventually becoming a 10-slot 100% weight reduction bag! This will fill out the first two tasks for the Santug Claugg achievement.
